Our internal inventory gave us a unit count of 15,786. We expect that number to be reduced a bit in the event that samples are requested. Though we are only advertising "more than 15,000" units, you will get everything we have... should be at least 15,500 instruments. | DEALERS: | Hu-Friedy is one of the best known, most loved dental instrument manufacturers in the world. You are considering buying 15,000 units for a single price: 
NOTE: We are a medical sales company (surgery tables, stretchers, etc) NOT dental. Promoting this sale is a favor: we have been instructed to simply unload these instruments and be done with it. So shall it be. That said, we ARE dealers and we have done our homework. We have looked at retail pricing and have seen that most of these instruments are worth more than $20 each, many retail in excess of $30 each. Pretty hard to imagine a way not to turn a solid profit if you pick up this lot for less than $2.50 per instrument. Above you will see three columns, each with a situation (wholesale, dealer, retail) and a suggested price. Notice that even the highest selling price is less than half of MSRP, so our suggested pricing is designed to move them quickly and still yield a nice return. We briefly considered hitting a few trade shows, setting up a booth specifically to unload on a cash-n-carry basis for $12 each. Another thought... at $2.50 each, you could pretty much throw these guys around as freebies. How about this for your next mailer campaign: Dear Dr. So-N-So, I am just dropping a line to thank you for buying that expensive gizmo last month. All of the instruments are on-hand at our facility and you are welcome to come take a look. Please give us a call at the office number below. History of Instruments These instruments are manufacturer OVERSTOCK and were originally donated to a non-profit organization that runs a global outreach to third world countries. This group solicited donations from manufacturers, but was overwhelmed by the response. After donating as many instruments as possible to other non-profit groups, these instruments sat in storage. The decision was finally made to sell the unneeded instruments to raise funds for future operations. |
